The LindseyBoo Story

Sharon has been asked over the years how LindseyBoo Creations began.
This is her story…
LindseyBoo Creations began with one simple poem, a personal gift that I wrote for my newborn daughter, Lindsey. At the time, I was working full-time, longing to be home with her, when inspiration struck. Using my lifelong love of poetry (passed down from my mother), I created a personalized name poem with its origin and meaning. Shortly after I wrote my first poem, friends saw it and began asking me to write one for their children.
Word spread quickly, from coworkers to neighbors to strangers. At my very first craft show, I sold out of everything that I had in a single day and took dozens of custom orders. Soon, my husband, Kent (“Boo”), and I were traveling the East Coast, meeting wonderful customers and growing our collection from 50 names to over 10,000. Kent also designed our backgrounds, expanding from 3 to 85 unique art quality backgrounds.
One memory kept me inspired: a little boy named Matthew told me his name poem made him feel loved and happy every day during a very difficult time in his life. Years later, he became an EMT and was there for Lindsey and I during a traffic accident. Moments like that remind me why I started LindseyBoo.
After 30+ years of selling this wonderful poetry, Kent and I were ready to retire. One of our very first customers, Judy Bobbitt, reached out and asked about continuing the LindseyBoo tradition, after we talked Judy agreed to purchase the business and keep it going.
Today, Judy continues to create truly one-of-a-kind name poems, on the rare occasion that a name in not found on the Lindseyboo site, Judy can write it for you at no extra cost.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy combining the names, poetry, backgrounds and mats in any way you like until you find that special gift that is sure to become a treasured family keepsake.

My husband and I met you at the Southern Women’s Home Show in Orlando, FL around 2002 or 2003 I believe. We ordered 3 name poems for our 2 daughters and son. They still have them hanging in their rooms and they are all in their 20’s now. Our oldest is expecting her first child in June and asked me if I knew who had created their poems. I definitely didn’t have the business card anymore Lol, but my youngest daughter noticed your name at the bottom of the poem. So we looked you up online, and found your site. My daughter is so excited that we found you, and we will now have a name poem for her little girl Charlie just like all of theirs. We love them so much that I also purchased one for my “honorary grandchild” Elijah. Thank you for creating these wonderful poems, they are very special.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story! We are so lucky to have great customers like you, who are now ordering from us for the “next generation.” It is truly an honor and a blessing. Thank you, again, Shannon! Sincerely, Sharon
